Matthew Talbot
Matthew Talbot brings 13 years of hands-on automotive finance experience and a customer-first approach to every relationship. He has worked with leading automotive brands including Dodge, Chrysler, and Jeep, as well as Nissan, and spent several years with the Harms Auto Group and the Funn Auto Group. His expertise spans the full credit spectrum, from prime to credit-challenged clients, and he takes pride in helping customers secure financing solutions that fit both their current needs and future goals.
Originally from Pictou, Nova Scotia, Matthew relocated to Alberta in 2006 and has proudly called the province home ever since. Before entering automotive sales and finance, he spent two years working in Alberta's oilfield industry as a line locator's helper, gaining firsthand experience in the hardworking, blue-collar lifestyle that many of his clients live every day. That experience helped shape his practical, straightforward approach to business and customer service.
Matthew also spent five years in the Bow Valley hospitality and golf industries, developing a service-first mindset while working with Fairmont Resorts, Canmore Golf & Curling Club, Silvertip Resort, and Crazyweed Kitchen. After relocating to Edmonton from Canmore, he became a top automotive salesperson in 2012 and was quickly promoted into finance in early 2013.
Today, Matthew leads Roughneck Recreational Financing with a simple promise: put customers first, every time. Backed by hundreds of online reviews and a proven track record of transparent, solution-focused financing, he makes the process straightforward and stress-free, helping people get into the vehicles and recreational equipment that fits their lives today while supporting their goals for tomorrow.
